BIOGRAPHY
Bobby was born on October 11th 1974 in Edinburgh and has a career which evolves around theatre and film. In the late 90s, Bobby has played a varied range of characters such as body snatcher William Burke on stage in ‘The Anatomist and Albert Einstein in ‘Dynamo of the 21st Century.
Bobby also had stints in musical theatre playing the lead male role as Herbie in ‘Gypsy’ Theatre work was the constant having been in Pantomimes at Christmas and also playing the part of Jacob Marley’s ghost in ‘A Christmas Carol’ Film work came along playing the likes of Dr Crippen in ‘Prescription R’ and King Malcolm II in Scottish history short ‘Wild is the North’ where Bobby won ‘Best Actor’ at ‘The Hollywood Golden Age Festival’
Feature film work come along too playing the precocious taxi driver in Terence Davies’ Benediction’ opposite Jack Lowden. Bobby also played the part of bad guy Simon on ‘The Droving’ and gangster Jack on London thriller ‘Legacy’. Bobby can also be seen in horror film ‘Skinjacker’ as Sean.
It is not only English made films where Bobby can be seen in but also foreign films such as Malaysian made ‘Ada Apa Dengan Dosa’ where he plays a Scots father adopting a young Malaysian girl from an abusive family that wants to meet her real parents and convert to Islam as she gets older.
Acting is Bobby’s first love although he has established himself as a writer writing short films and also his first novel.
Bobby also has a YouTube channel called ‘Bobster’s Podblast’ interviewing the likes of Reece Dinsdale, Robert Gillespie and Jenny Seagrove.
