BIOGRAPHY
Helen is a professionally trained actor with a base in Manchester, London and the West
Midlands. Since childhood she has had a passion for acting, and started out performing
characters and scenes from her favourite sit-coms in front of family and friends. As she got
older her need to act just got stronger. Finally she accepted that this was her calling at age 52,
when she completed her training with Brian Timoney at the Brian Timoney Actors Studio.
Helen is a full-on method actor, who has a laser-like focus on comprehensive characterisation
and emotional authenticity. She relishes gritty emotional drama and her credits include Helen
in A Taste of Honey, Mary in Yerma, Sarah in The Hustler, Alice in The Dance of Death and
Julie in a short film called Three No More. She continues to develop her repertoire through
independent theatre and film projects while continually improving her range of regional
British and American accents.

Helen’s additional skills include first aid, for which she has maintained her qualification for
25 years, and person centred counselling abilities. She also has insight into other aspects of
creative production, having graduated with an honours degree in Film, Television and Radio
Studies. Helen brings a wealth of life experience, compassion and commitment to every
portrayal she creates.
