BIOGRAPHY
Born in Edinburgh he came south to train at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London aged 18. He has appeared extensively in Film, Theatre, and Television, and spent a year in the BBC Radio Drama Company.
Whilst filming an episode of “Taggart “ Jamie became friends with one of the leading actors who combined acting with a career in criminal law. He encouraged Jamie to do likewise and Jamie qualified as a Police Station Solicitor Representative. Working in criminal law in London exposed Jamie to a range of characters from both sides of the law and a world, which has been useful to draw upon in his acting life.
In 1999 Jamie was introduced to Acting in Training and became an Actor/Trainer Consultant for an established training company in England. This kept him very busy for some years working all around the UK, Europe and as far afield as Tokyo. This work has been challenging and rewarding in equal measure and Jamie feels that this extensive experience in improvisation has improved and informed his skills as an Actor and given him a great deal of resilience.
After another spell living in his native Scotland Jamie has settled in Saffron Walden in Essex and is intent on using his experience to focus on mainstream acting.
