BIOGRAPHY

Born in a seaside town on the East Coast of Scotland, Joe moved to New York to live with his American father. A culture shock for a smalltown teenager with big dreams. New York City and Los Angeles were his home for most of his adult life. In L.A. he studied with Matt Chait, and at the LAB theatre in New York. His break came playing the lead as an Irishmen with gambling debts in an indie film called ‘Shenanigans’.  Joe signed with Vince Cirriccione in L.A. After reading for a major role in James Cameron’s ‘Titanic’, Joe was knocked off his motorcycle and his career took a hit.

During this long recovery and recuperation, he raised two children and worked as a butler, but his dreams and ambitions never left him. He worked as background actor to learn all the technicalities of a film set. He appeared in Bradley Cooper’s Maestro; HBO productions, namely, Westworld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Succession, Billions, Gossip Girl, Minx, The Fabulous Mrs Maisel, and a Justin Beiber music video. He is versatile, has a great sense of humour, and above all, is driven. In 2024, Joe moved back to the U.K. and enrolled in the Brian Timoney Actors’ Studio masterclass – a year- long commitment to hone his craft. He is based in London, Scotland and New York City.
