
BIOGRAPHY
John is a versatile character actor who has come to the industry quite late in life but has a wealth of life experiences in various businesses and a background of top level sporting achievements in rugby union, cricket and motor racing. In early 2018 John has appeared in “This Country”, Series Two of the smash hit, award-winning BBC comedy TV series, as Pub Landlord, John. Other notable performances have been as Raymond the butler in Bollywood feature film “White” playing opposite established stars, Mammootty (400+ films) and Huma Qureshi (The Viceroy’s House) and as Alex in “Demons” a hard-hitting, short film about father to son domestic abuse cycles. His next role is to hit the screen in mid 2018 as mob boss Spielman in “The Beheading of Barry Lynch”. TV roles also include playing opposite Matt Lucas in American ABC series “Galavant”. Theatre has included parts in Oliver! As Mr. Brownlow, Eddie Carbone in “A view From The Bridge” and as Michael Vallance, the farmer in Bea Roberts’ two man play “And Then Come The Nightjars”.
Other interests include Music: classical and modern Jazz piano and from Led Zeppelin, through Dire Straits, St. Vincent and even to Sophie Ellis-Bextor. John is married to wife Lizzy and has two daughters in their early 20s.
