
BIOGRAPHY
Laurence is a professionally trained Actor who trained with YAFTA (Yorkshire Academy of Film and Television Arts). He has also attended many short courses to develop his skills at institutions such as Met Film School, ISSA (International School of Screen Acting), LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Central School of Speech and Drama and Rose Bruford.
He has appeared many times on stage in leading roles such as Lucky Eric (Bouncers), Lord Windermere (Lady Windermere’s Fan), Lord Fancourt Babberley (Charley’s Aunt) and Sherlock Holmes (The Hound of the Baskervilles).
He started his own theatre company, Spud Theatre, in 2010 which has performed throughout the UK including at the Edinburgh and Camden Fringe Festivals.
He has adapted many works for the stage including Carmilla (Sheridan Le Fanu), The Vampyre (John William Polidori), The Speckled Band and The Dancing Men (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) and The Tangled Skein (David Stuart Davies). He has also written a play, A Pot of Paint, about the famous 19th century court case between the critic John Ruskin and the artist James McNeill Whistler.
He is also a qualified solicitor and has many years’ experience as a court advocated.
