BIOGRAPHY
Sarah, is a professional actress who like to be known, simply as “S.J.” is a Lincolnshire-based actor with a background in broadcast journalism and a passion for emotionally authentic storytelling. Formerly a television presenter and journalist for networks including Channel 7, she brings a confident on-screen presence and a natural ability to engage audiences across a wide range of roles.
Sarah’s journey into acting was shaped by her lived experience: after a serious car accident and a long period of rehabilitation, she redirected her focus towards screen performance. She now draws on both personal resilience and creative training to bring depth, vulnerability, and truth to the characters she portrays. Her screen acting credits include A Memory Owed, Behind the Wallpaper, and July (all listed on IMDb), and she continues to build on her screen experience through short films and independent projects.
Sarah has trained with The Acting Masters under Derek Barr, as well as at Articulate Drama Academy with Kirsty Armstrong and Midlands Drama Academy with Shaq B Grant. She is also a graduate of the University of Hull, where she earned a Foundation Degree in Applied Digital and Broadcast Media. During her earlier career in journalism, she was awarded the Virgin Media Award for Best Feature/Documentary in 2009.
Sarah’s additional skills include archery and crossbow handling, and she has a strong ear for accents. She is particularly drawn to roles that explore human complexity and emotional truth—especially stories that centre strong, resilient women who overcome adversity. She brings her diverse experience—on both sides of the camera—to every production with authenticity and heart.
