Tenille is a confident and well-educated professional with a unique personal history &
background in the performing arts, as a dedicated professional actress and model. She
started performing from the age of thirteen years old, performing in many television
commercials and went on to perform in several stages plays in front of public paying
audiences from the age of fourteen years old. She also has a successful career as a
model from the age of 13 after completing a number of professional fashion modelling
courses and going on to walk in several paid runway shows, as well as working as a paid
fashion, catalogue, competition, and photographic model.
Tenille has always been exceptionally passionate about the performing arts from a young
age and has always been interested in pursuing acting professionally. However, her
parents compelled her to take up a career in technology which wasn’t the direction
Tenille found passion in. However, like anything she is tasked with, Tenille puts
everything into whatever she sets her mind to and excelled in the realm of software
technology. Graduating from University with multiple accolades, she earned a BSc (Hons)
in Software Engineering, an MA in Applied Project Management; she also has an MBA,
and MSc in Applied Mathematics. With her academic education completed and a
successful consultancy established from her experience and talent; Tenille is now
concentrating on her passion for the performing arts, where her true north lies, by
pursuing an acting career which is now her main career focus, as a lifelong dream to
satisfy the right brain yearning she has never been able to relinquish.
Work within performing arts as a teenager comprised various food, drinks and clothing
brand commercials; participation in numerous live radio shows and competitions,
choreographed dance shows comprising African, contemporary, Latin and urban dance.
Stage play experience includes several African plays: Nala in the Lion King, Anowa in
Anowa by Ama Ata Aidoo, and Ekwefi in Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe. At 11,
Tenille wrote her own short play, Macabre; about an Inca boy who struggled through the
rights of passage to manhood in the Inca civilization.
As an adult, Tenille took part in a stage play, Julius Caesar with Southampton Solent
University and the Point Theatre Eastleigh, playing the part of Calpurnia, Caesar’s wife.
As well as a few competitive runway modelling and fashion shows. As a consultant in the
field of software technology, Tenille has taken centre stage with many companies such as
Microsoft, delivering keynote speeches and leading numerous technical and commercial
workshops and paid public speaking events, with audiences numbering in the thousands.
A disciplined and dedicated sportswoman, Tenille has played sports all her life. Childhood
sports played nationally and internationally include hockey, basketball, athletics,
swimming, tennis, and football. As an adult Tenille plays squash, football for a local
all-boys team, tennis, athletics, competitive obstacle courses (ToughMudder and Spartan
Races), and lifts weights 5 days a week.
A love for the ocean and travelling led to an advanced open water PADI certification in
scuba diving. Tenille learnt to DJ and rap hip hop songs to pay tuition fees for her first
university degree. As a child she learnt to play the drums and percussion, and as an
adult briefly practiced acoustic guitar. She also spent a year learning Afro and Latin
dance: kizomba, bachata and merengue. Her hobbies include working out to balance a
love for cooking and baking, travel and experiencing new cultures, watching Liverpool FC
play football, movies and music, chess, poker, DIY projects, painting, reading
self-improvement literature, photography, running a personal growth coaching practice,
spending time in nature and chasing the sunshine.
Born under the African sun, Tenille spent her formative years in Southern Africa, born to
mixed race parents in the apartheid era. She immigrated to London as a teenager and
has lived in England since then. Her heritage is Portuguese, Greek, Scottish and Zulu.
She is 1.78cm tall (5’10”), wears clothing size 10-12, with light brown eyes, medium
length curly brown hair with blonde highlights. Performing age is 23 to 40.
Languages spoken are English, Spanish (conversational) Southern African dialects of
Shona, Swahili and Zulu.
Accents include English RP, MLE, Liverpool, Scottish, African American, General
American, Jamaican, Southern African.
