Graham Pountney is a distinguished British film producer whose career in the entertainment industry spans nearly five decades. Beginning his professional journey as an actor, Graham trained at the renowned Bristol Old Vic Theatre School before establishing himself across regional theatre, national repertory companies, and a wide range of screen work. Born and raised in East Horsley, Surrey, he has built a reputation as a multi‑talented creative force—actor, director, producer, and company leader—whose work reflects both artistic integrity and deep industry experience.
Graham’s screen career includes notable roles in BBC’s iconic 1980s drama Howards’ Way, the long‑running series EastEnders, ITV’s The Bill and the feature film Goodbye Mr Chips alongside Martin Clunes and many more. His extensive credits across Film, Television, Radio, the Royal National Theatre, and London’s West End have made him a respected and versatile figure in British performing arts.
Transitioning into producing and directing, Graham has created a diverse portfolio of work across film and theatre. He has produced multiple stage productions and several short films, later founding Rolling Start Films Ltd (UK) to develop and produce feature‑length projects.
