
BIOGRAPHY
Matt is an upcoming professional actor raised by his Grandparents in North Yorkshire and has several Northern bases. His generational knowledge has given him a unique understanding of life from the perspective of an older mind, allowing him to grasp the wisdom behind the characters he plays.
Matt is known as a dedicated and highly versatile performer with a range of skills on screen and stage. Playing the Trumpet, he toured around Europe in Jazz bands between 2010 and 2017, performing in prestigious events such as the Montreux Jazz festival. As a multi-instrumentalist, Matt has provided the music for stage productions, putting his hand to several instruments including guitar and piano as a completely self-taught artist.
As a graduate of the University of central Lancashire, Matt trained in stage, screen, radio and physical theatre; notably Meyerhold’s system of actor training, also known as Biomechanics. He went on to win the university award for outstanding achievement in Acting. Matt is at home playing leading roles in productions such as Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, Oliver and Earthquakes in London and is skilled in leading casts both live and on film. He enjoys performing in comedic and dramatic productions equally, but more recently in the award winning short film “The Fallen Apple” he played his most sinister role yet.
From entertaining on Cruise Ships to coordinating outdoor events in the UK and Europe. From providing Voice Overs for productions and performing in Theatre to music groups and film. Matt has a wealth of experience in both acting and outside the industry whist always bringing his calm, genuine and exciting personality to the set. His personal aspiration is to entertain as many people as possible through performance either on stage, on screen, or through radio and to entertain the lives of countless individuals.
