BIOGRAPHY

Sophie is a professionally trained Actress and as been around the creative arts all her life. She comes from a music, film and media creative family and since the age of zero has been surrounded by professional musicians, actors and filmmakers. Sophie showed great interest in the performing arts from a very young age first perfecting the Scottish accent after she watched Robin Williams in the film, Mrs Doubtfire. From there, encouraged by both her mother a linguistic translater and father a filmmaker, she has gone on to cover many different accents from around the world to perfection.

Sophie went on to study Acting graduated with a 1st BA (Hons) in Acting and Performance at the University for the Creative Arts in June 2019. As part of her training, Sophie has played roles from Shakespeare to Lorraine Hansberry at Farnham Maltings Theatre where she has also performed her own devised shows. Of Chilean and Jamaican descent, Sophie has a rich heritage and ethnic background providing her with fluency in Spanish. She studied this along with Music Performance, Drama and German.

Sophie has had singing tuition from the age of 6 and was awarded a musical scholarship reaching Grade 7 at 16. She also gained additional training from producers in studio practice and other professionals helping her to grow as a singer and musical performer. Based in London, Sophie joined Southwark Playhouse Youth Company in her mid-teens gaining performance and writing experience by putting on devised productions for live public audiences. With a keen passion for Film & Television alike.
